This is a new and upcomming movie staring Jason Statham and a few other know actors.set in a time where killing is just a fun sport. Here is a link to the movie

Yes, apparently this is a remake of an earlier film called Death Race 2000. I'll probably be checking this one out but not until it hits DVD. Looks like it may be decent though.

It looks good mainly because Its a rule as an Englishman to see every movie with Jason Statham in it because he's ace.
It won't beat the Original Death Race though mainly because its set in a prison while the original was a cross country race across america where running down pedestrians was the aim of the game. There was a part in the original where hospital staff wheeld patients out into the streets for the racers to score points, Lol. And where Sylvester Stallone would shoot the fans that booed him...Its a classic B Movie. Completely deranged and random (exactly how I like 'em) but a classic nontheless.
